Studying Farming
Everything seemed so peaceful,such as various trees and quiet rivers.Everything seemed so lively,such as stray birds and gentle wind.Here came a group of teenagers,including me,who have rarely municated with great nature.Our arrival made the beginning of one-week-long Studying Farming.
It was the time which leaves turn from green to golden that we got to the unbordered farm.Agriculture usually leaved the backward and boring impression on me.Unfortunately,those peasants’ simple houses proved my thought.Otherwise,huge fields and shiny sunshine made everything enjoyable.We walked through fields,watching charming landscapes in the countryside.
Then we arrived at our dormitory and started making the bed,checking the luggage,cleaning the floor and so on.However,not everyone was familiar with these things as I did.I had to overtake my ty to help them with all that.It seemed mon that children didn’t do housework at all.Luckily,I was the exception.
One day,after we had learned some basic farming skills,a local peasant led us to the field.Autumn was so close to us.I did feel pleasant when I see the land filled with golden wheat and rice.As the farmer said “It is the time for harvest!” I was in good wood to take part in the harvesting.On another afternoon,I felt the same happiness because there was a large Orchard Sheds with ripen fruits for us to pick up what deserved our labour.On our way back,sharing the gather in the crops was the extension of harvest.One who have never experienced the harvest cannot taste the sweetest fruits.
Last evening,sunset was the most attractive scenery,marking the end of this unforgettable experience.We also held the evening party with many funny programs in which I acted as a infamous historical figure.Then all came to an end.At the end,I quoted some words from Henry David Thoreau’s “Walden”—“The morning wind forever blows,the poem of creation is uninterrupted; but few are the ears that hear it.Olympus is but the outside of the earth everywhere.”

On my character
There are all kinds of persons in the world,but every person has his own character.So there is diversity of characters.For me,on one hand,I’m an ordinary person; on the other hand,I don’t agree with what I said above.
I have to admit that I’m not very outstanding,not the top of my class,not a cute boy……It doesn’t matter.I don’t want to be quite different from others.I get used to the fact.Not being those who are always happy,however,I’m optimistic about anything.Not being those who are always unhappy,however,I’m conscious of what is happening.
People who are always happy are generally wele wherever they go,because they may bring pleasure to others.But it’s just the presentation.Happy face doesn’t mean optimistic heart.Another kind of person is the disagreeable kind.They are weak in character and easily disappointed when they are in trouble.Smiling is my regular practice,not laughing.I’m also generous and ready to help others.Therefore I still give others the impression that I’m optimistic,as well as a person of ability.That’s my belief and principle—In the world without answer,my answer is facing up to any difficulty appearing in my life!
To deal with various problems at home and work,it wants me to be decisive.Then it es to my weakness of my character that I have the courage while I need much time to make up my mind.It means I can’t make a decision in a while.Never have I made any decision without the slightest hesitation.Sometimes I even take hours to think about the gains and losses.Others may say “It is not bad at all.Many things should be thought over and over.” However,life has given me the key that if you hesitate about everything,you may lose half of your opportunities.And I have been taught more than a lesson.But there is still remedy for me.No matter left or right,wrong or correct,just make a decision.This is the armyman’s character!
