Life in the city is convenient, exciting but fast-paced and busy. Life in the suburbs is relatively slow, relaxing but it can get ll too. While living in the city, you’d probably be closer to your workplace, and that leaves less time on the road where you can listen to music, call a friend or whatever makes you feel nice, which if you live in the suburbs, you’d have plenty of time to do on the road. Also if you live in the city, you’d be likely to participate in social activities as you live closer to where most of them happen, and in the suburbs, you’d probably be unwilling to go as it would take more time, so it could get boring. On the other side you have much more alone time, you’d be more likely to have a garden because of the low housing price, and you can do gardening, or even fishing if you live near some river that’s unlikely to appear in the middle of town.
So living in either place can be fun, the choice depends on what kind of person you are.

The Dog And The Shadow
A DOG, crossing a bridge over a stream with a piece of flesh in his mouth, saw his own shadow in the water, and took it for that of another Dog, with a piece of meat double his own in size. He therefore let go his own, and fiercely attacked the other Dog, to get his larger piece from him. He thus lost both: that which he grasped at in the water, because it was a shadow; and his own, because the stream swept it away.
