有些心理学家人认为，思维这类心理活动不止在大脑中进行，肌肉也会参与到其中。可以说，我们用肌肉思维就好像我们在听音乐的时候活动肢体一样。
如果别人对你说，你不仅用耳朵而且是用整个身体听音乐，你一定不会感到惊奇。听到熟悉的音乐时，很多人都是手舞足蹈，或者至少身体的某个部位会动。当一个人从收音机中收听交响乐时，他会试图指挥乐队，即使他知道有指挥家在那里指挥。
这种行为虽然有些奇怪，但是很好解释。可以这样说，一个人若不亲身参与音乐的演奏，他就不能享受音乐带来的全部乐趣。听众以或多或少的身体语言“感觉”自己融入到了音乐中。
人体的肌肉实际上会以相同的方式参与到思维的心理活动中，但是因为这种参与行为不太明确，因此也就不太明显。

you surely are not surprised to be told that you usually listen to music not only with your ears but also with your whole body.
few people can listen to music that is more or less familiar without moving their bodies or ,more specifically,some parts of their bodies.often when one listens to concert on the radio
he is tempted to direct the band even though he knows there is a capable conctor on the job.
strange as this behavior may be,there is a very good reason for it
one cannot derive all possible enjoyment from music unless he participates,so to speak,in its performance.the listener "feels" himself into the music with more or less pronounced motions of his body.
the muscles of the body actually participate in the mental process of thinking in the same way,but this participation is less clear because it is less noticeable.
