Munich Philharmonic, founded in 1893, is one of the most prestigious orchestras in Germany, renowned for its authentic interpretations of German and Austrian compositions. The ensemble, initially known as the "Kaim Symphony Orchestra," boasts a rich history with notable conductors like Gustav Mahler, who served as its director from 1901 to 1910, conducting world premieres of his Fourth and Eighth Symphonies, as well as the monumental "Das Lied von der Erde."
