Joe Armstrong, the pioneer and original implementer of Erlang, holds the title of Chief Architect for the Erlang OTP system project. With a background in computer science, he holds a PhD from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden, and is known as Peter Armstrong. As the founder and CEO of Robuss Technology, Armstrong has made significant contributions, including being a key member of the team that won the 2006 Adobe MAX大奖.

His book, 'FlexibleRafts: Flex 3 on Rafts 2', significantly influenced the creation of the RestfuIX framework. Armstrong is globally recognized for his expertise in fault-tolerant system development, demonstrating his deep understanding of complex systems. In addition to his work in Erlang and RestfuIX, he has also ventured into the development of an alternative markup language, ML9, challenging the traditional use of XML.
