在评估期间，Scopus数据库对期刊发表文章的收录检索工作暂停。Sustainability执行主编Elaine Li称，如果评估结果良好，被暂停的内容将在4周内录入数据库。
Continuous curation（持续监管）策略
自 2010 年Scopus数据库的内容选择和咨询委员会（CSAB）成立以来，Scopus不断收集审稿数据，作为内容策划流程的一部分。CSAB可以指出任何已接受的期刊是否应在未来再次进行评估。这是一个持续的过程，可确保对Scopus内容进行持续整理。
所有因表现不佳、出版标准问题、异常行为或在持续内容整理过程中被发现的期刊都将由 CSAB重新评估。重新评估的审查标准与用于新推荐期刊的 Scopus 内容选择标准相同。重新评估流程完成后，CSAB将决定继续对期刊进行覆盖，或终止该期刊在 Scopus中的前向覆盖（重新评估完成前在 Scopus 中覆盖的内容将保留在 Scopus中）。被中止的期刊只有在作出中止决定 5 年后才会被考虑再次进行评估。

The Sustainable Journal
Founded in 2009, The Sustainable Journal was indexed in the Scopus database in its first year of publication. Since then, the number of articles indexed in Scopus has increased almost annually. In 2022, the journal published over 17,000 articles, and for the year 2023, about 13,500 articles were indexed by Scopus.
Currently, The Sustainable Journal can still be searched in the latest Scopus journal directory. However, the mathematics journal Axioms from the same MDPI publisher is no longer indexed by Scopus. The journal was indexed up to its 12th volume, issue 9 in 2023. The reason for discontinuation is e to rapid and unexplained changes in the number of published articles or unexplained changes in the geographic diversity of authors or institutions.
The Sustainable Journal is still indexed in the SCI and SSCI databases. The MDPI publishing house has other journals that were reassessed in 2023, and the majority received positive evaluations and will continue to be indexed by Scopus.
As of January 2024, Scopus indexes 269 journals from the MDPI publishing house. Notably, 54 of these journals were added in 2023.
