I am writing to express my opinion on a
growing trend that the average weight of the schoolbags students has to bare on
the back every day is getting heavy and heavier. I am writing to suggest the
textbook publishers, schools as well as students can remedy this situation
bringing negative effect to students.
The
first responsibility of alleviating the burden on the students’ back should,
undoubtedly, lie in the publishers who have attached a great importance to the
quality and the packaging of the textbooks in hope of attracting schools and
teachers to adopt theirs instead of making efforts to enhance the quality of
the content. Even though the hardcover and cardboard is certainly of higher
attractiveness aesthetically, these tricks not only useless and meaningless but
also bringing more unnecessary loads on their unripe back physically. Therefore
I would suggest the textbooks publishers abandon their absolutely incorrect
promotion idea that using deluxe outlook as a attractiveness and revamp the
packaging method of the textbooks students need to carry every day for an
example that textbooks can be separated by units or topic. Students, as a result,
are able to bring certain topic according the teachers’ order without a whole
book. This approach, obviously, trim down what students are bearing on their
shoulders, preventing students getting injured easily.

addition to the measures taken by the publishers, school also play a vital role
in improving the situation. To a great extent, the weight of the schoolbags is
hinged on the timetable scheled by the schools, who are capable to arrange
fewer lessons per day but lasting the lessons longer, rescuing the students
from the torture of carrying lots of books by the new arrangements. The
installation of the lockers at schools is another practical way to help soothe
the problem. With the provision of the lockers, students are allowed storing
their usual textbooks except the books should carry home for revisions. Students
no longer shuttle tons of books to the schools as a vehicle day by day.
Last but
not least , students also take active steps to protect ourselves from being
hurt by the heavy schoolbags. We should regularly clean out the unnecessary
items, tiding up the bags according the timetable to avoid adding extra weight
leading us injured on our back. When we have an appropriate schoolbags
regularly, the deteriorating situation can be reversed by hand in hand.
It is
time all parties mentioned above pay attention in the serious problem. No one
is irresponsible to work together to achieve the goal that every student has
health backbone.
