1.adapt for使适应,使适合（新用途,新情况）；改编,改写,其后加名词,动词要加ing：He doesn't adapt for such work.他不适合做这种工作.She can adapt the novol for television.他能把那部小说改变成电视剧.

2.adapt to适应（新情况）,后面可加名词,动词原形 You must adapt to the rules of your school.你要遵守学校规章.Some people cannot adapt to change because they are too old.有些人因为年龄太大,不能顺应局势的变化.

be suitable to后面主要接动词
be suitable for后面接名词
be suitable (for sb )to do sth..
