Parametric methods deal with the estimation of population parameters (like the mean)
while the non-parametric are distribution free methods. They rely on ordering (ranking) of observations.
从字面意思应该是，Parametric 是依赖均值，就是比的时候不是一对一对的比是一群数字一起比。non-parametric 应该就是一对一对的比

Parametric tests是指用样本或总体中测算出的系数进行test,这里mean(均值)或variance（方差）都叫parameter, 所以叫parametric test;
Nonparametric test就是不用样本或总体测算的系数进行对比,比如用给样本或总体排序的方法去进行tests
