Memory is a very interesting thing. We love to have fond memories and dread having bad memories.
However, it is often the bad memories which lingers at the back of our mind, causing us emotional pain.
Memories are important especially to one's path towards maturity. Without experiencing and remembering them, how could we judge and move forward?
Memories exist in many forms as closely tied to our senses. Sense of taste, we recognize the coffee taste when we drank it again. Sense of touch is about the same as sense of taste whether we recognize but we couldn't retain the actual feelings. Sense of sight and hearing are the more significant, even after we lost our senses, we still retain the memories deeply embedded in our memories.
Memory can be viewed as storage system in a computer. Besides the method of storing, we ought to review how we retrieve them. Often our brains are under some stresses which undermine our speed in recalling. There are also emotional disturbance which prevent us from recalling what is the right information.
To improve one's memory, method of storing, method of retrieving and also most importantly the health of our brain. We ought to eat more brain healthy food for a start.
