请求原谅的表达。是excuse sb for sth/doing sth. 的被动形式。
excuse for
1. 因(某借口、某理由)而原谅(某人)；原谅(某人)(一段时间)：
to excuse someone for coming late
原谅某人迟到
Excuse me for my abrupt question.
请原谅我这个唐突的问题。
2. 原谅(某事)：
You cannot be excused for such rude behaviour in the presence of a lady.
你在女士面前举止如此粗鲁不可能得到原谅。

be excused for... (因做...而）被原谅

如：Can I be excused for a while?
