1. in one's hand 由某人处理/在某人的控制之下
The whole affair is now in his hand. 整件事现在由他负责处理。
The company is already in the concil's hands. 公司已处于委员会的控制之下。
2. on one's hand(s) 有事待处理（尤指困难的事或问题）
They'll have a battle on their hands if they try to build a road here. 如果他们要在这里修路，他们将面临一场艰难的战斗。
3. out of one's hand(s) 指已不受某人的控制/已不由某人负责
The case is now out of my hands. 这案子现在已不在我的能力范围之内。
4. off sb's hands 指不再负责/不用再管
We have more free time since the kids are off our hands. 孩子不归我们管了，我们闲了很多。
