select '-20'::numeric;追问我修改了postgresQL中一个表的一个字段numeric成charac vary（40）使用alter，后来再使用alter出现了错误。
上面的应该是在查找的时候转换吧，对于表的字段类型并没改变吧

追答恩，是在查找时转换的。如果在表里，建议新建一个表，而后

insert into 新建表 (字段名1, ... 字段名n) (select 字段名1,... 要改字段::numeric,...字段名n from 老表)
