意思是 come, go or take place after sb/sth else in space, time or order 就是使某事物在空间，时间或顺序上在他人或者他事物之后,
例如：The lightning was quickly followed by heavy thunder.闪电过后紧接着是响雷
follow还有跟随；追捕的意思，
比如 The police were following him. *正在追捕他.
还有沿着……的意思
比如 Follow this road until you get to the corner, then turn left. 沿着这条路走到拐角处, 然着向左转
还有按照；听从的意思
比如 follow the instructions 按指示办事
