Hello Everyone!!!
First of all, I'd like to say MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
I'm going to take the opportunity to reflect on the many blessings I have received this year......
I'll tell you something about myself...I AM CRAZY ABOUT CHRISTMAS! Everything is so beautiful! SO MAGICAL! So full of love and joy.
As we go through the Christmas Season of 2009, let us take time to remember the less fortunate, those who are hurting, addicted, lonely, suffering in any capacity and those who are lost. Pray for every soul to find the meaning of Christmas.Blessings are available for the taking, but the effort to reach for them has to be made. Ask for the strength to do so.
From my home to yours on Christmas and every day of the year, please know you're appreciated! MERRY, MERRY CHRISTMAS MY FRIENDS! WE'LL LOOK FORWARD TO A GREAT 2009 TOGETHER!! "CARRY THE SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS WITH YOU ALL THROUGH THE YEAR!"

Christmas is a time for love and fun,
A time to reshape souls and roots and skies,
A time to give your heart to everyone
Freely, like a rich and lavish sun,
Like a burning star to those whose lonely sighs
Show need of such a time for love and fun.
For children first, whose pain is never done,
Whose bright white fire of anguish never dies,
It's time to give your heart to every one,
That not one angel fall, to hatred won
For lack of ears to listen to her cries,
Or arms to carry him towards love and fun,
Or friends to care what happens on the run
To alt life, where joy or sadness lies.
It's time to give your heart to everyone,
For God loves all, and turns His back on none,
Good or twisted, ignorant or wise.
Christmas is a time for love and fun,
A time to give your heart to everyone.
还有Could there be angels waiting in the wings,
How might we call upon their ecstasy?
Rainbows are mere garnish on the days
In which we are the glory and the light.
So may we hear the songs our sunshine sings,
The words which will the wonder of our ways;
May we know how good it is to be
As we celebrate the holidays,
So much in love we weep as angels might.
的话会不知道我们的方式;
5月,我们知道有多好它才能
当我们庆祝节日,
这么多爱我们哭泣的天使可能。

The word Christmas comes from the words Cristes maesse, or "Christ's Mass". Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus for members of the Christian religion. Most historians peg the first celebration of Christmas to Rome in 336 AD.
Christmas is both a holiday and a Holy Day. In America it is the biggest event of the year (especially for kids), and for members of the Christian religions it is an important day on the religious calendar. The federal government, all state governments, all schools/colleges/universities and the vast majority of businesses in America give employees one or two days off at Christmas, making it an important holiday (other federal holidays are: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, Washington's Birthday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving). In the Roman Catholic calendar, Christmas is one of 6 holy feast days celebrated in America, the others being: Circumcision (New Year's Day), Ascension, Assumption (Mary's Assumption into heaven, August 15), All Saints (November 2), and the Immaculate Conception (December 8).

Christmas is a holiday for friends,
However they may be, or not, related.
Remember that the three wise kings were strangers
In search of one remote, uncanny dream.
So may we all be far more than we seem,
Together bound for dark and haunting changes,
More lovely for the loves we have created
Along the lonely paths from means to ends,
Stumbling towards that star of Bethlehem.

When is Christmas Celebrated?
Christmas is one such festival, which has a global significance. It is truly a global festival. Although the customs, traditions, food and even calendar associated with it varies from place to place according to the climate, culture and food habits of a particular place but the spirit of the festival transcends all such differences. The message behind the celebration cut across all the geographical and man-made barriers. It is possibly the most popular Christian holiday. The Christians all over the world celebrates the festival with the same enthusiasms and zeal irrespective of their social status. Christmas has evolved as a secular celebration in the world. It is 25th of December, which is celebrated as the Christmas day all over the world. There may be some differences in dates in certain places e to differences in culture and traditions but mostly it this day of the year, which is celebrated as Christmas worldwide. In Northern Europe, pre-Christian symbols of spirit worship have become Yuletide standards, such as the Christmas tree, mistletoe, holly, and ivy. Other rituals such as stringing Christmas lights, exchanging gifts, even burning the Yule log are traditions that can be traced back to the ancient Roman celebration of Saturnalia and various winter solstice rituals. Even in societies where Christianity is not the dominant religious belief, Santa Claus has become the reason to celebrate the festival. Most of the rituals and customs associated with the festival has almost become a part of everybody's life celebrating the festival.
There are certain confusions regarding the dates of Christmas calendar adding further to this seeming calendar of confusion, no one knows the exact date of Christ's birth, the first mention of 25 December as the birth date of Jesus occurred in 336 A.D. in an early Roman calendar. History tells us that the celebration of 25th December as the birth date of Jesus's was probably influenced by Pagan festivals held at that time. The ancient Romans held year-end celebrations to honor Saturn, their harvest god; and Mithras, the god of light. Various peoples in northern Europe held festivals in mid-December to celebrate the end of the harvest season. As part of all these celebrations, the people prepared special foods, decorated their homes with greenery, and joined in singing, dancing and gift giving. These customs graally became part of the Christmas celebration. For over 300 years it was a movable feast since early Christians tended to celebrate Christmas in conjunction with Hanukkah, attempting to mesh the old Julian and Hebrew calendars. Pope Julius I set 25th December as the date on or about 336 A.D. in an effort to provide continuity from year to year and to counterbalance the various other pre Christian festivals competing with the spread of Catholicism. Although many of the Orthodox or Eastern Rite Christian churches have celebrated Christmas on December 25 since the middle of the fifth century, some chose to keep their festivities on the traditional date of January 6 or 7, known also as the Epiphany. Whatever may be the date or the practices associated with it, Christmas continues to be the most universally celebrated festival around the globe, transcending culture, language, and even religious beliefs. Regardless of the reason to celebrate the festival. Irrespective of the day it is important to live up to the spirit every day of the year.
History of Christmas Celebration
The approaching of winter season tells us that Christmas is around the corner as we associate the winter with the Christmas celebration. The history of Christmas dates back over 4000 years and it tells us that celebration ring the winter season were common, way before the Christ child was born and celebrated as Christmas on 25th December. In the Western world, the birth of Jesus Christ has been celebrated as Christmas since 354 AD, replacing an earlier date of 6th January. The main reason behind Christmas celebration was to replace the Pagan festival with the Christian one, which coincided with the pagan rituals of Winter Solstice or "Return of the Sun". The stories related to Christmas are based chiefly on the Gospels of Saint Luke and Saint Matthew in the New Testament. According to Luke, an angel appeared to shepherds outside the town of Bethlehem and told them of Jesus's birth. Matthew tells how the wise men, called Magi, followed a bright star that led them to Jesus.
Fundamentally Christmas celebration is based on the intertwining of two ethnic patterns, Roman transition rites and Germano-Celtic Yule (jiuleis) rites-feasting and mortuary practice. Before the Christmas celebration there were mid-winter festivals in ancient Babylon and Egypt, and Germanic fertility festivals also took place at this time. Even the birth of the ancient sun-god Attis in Phrygia was celebrated on 25th December, as was the birth of the Persian sun-god, Mithras. As far as the facts are concerned it tells that Christmas was not celebrated in the early days of the church till Pope Julius I who choose 25th December as the day for the celebration of Jesus birth and slowly with passage of time the practice was adopted by the Christian church in Antioch around 374 and later in Constantinople and in Alexandria. Eventually the customs and traditions, which were associated with the celebration of Christmas, were practiced among people. Like the gift giving which was linked with the presents of the wise men. Trees, which were decorated with apples, were associated with the biblical Garden of Eden and the firelight that represented the light of Christ.
