One possible solution is to design and develop clean cars and clean fuels. As the development of economy, the amount of private cars has grown faster than ever. However, it results in terreble air pollution. The fuel of cars is oil. It contains some elements of air-pollutants, such as N and S. When the fuel burns uncompletely, it will proce CO and CO2.
Although CO2 is not harmful to human body, it will lead to greeenhouse effect, which can raise global temperature.Besides, chemical reaction in the pipe of cars can transform N2 of air into NO and NO2,both of which can make contribution to the formation photochemical smog.
To make sure we have healthy atmosphere environment, measures should be take to stop air pollution. Firstly, we can remove harmful elements out of oil, but sometimes it costs a lot. Secondly, we can replace pipe with catalyzer which can transform NO,NO2 into N2. Thirdly, we can relace oil with alchohol or other clean fuel such as H2. Last but not the least, we have to rece the use of private cars and take public transportation, for example bus and subway. And this will be the most effective way.
