英语的实词不但多义，而且同一词还可以属一种以上的词类。从一种词类又可以转化为另一种词类，转化后的词具有该词基本的特性。
1、名词转化为形容词，转化后的词同形容词用法相同：
luck lucky幸运的、cloud cloudy多云的、wind windy大风的、rain rainy下雨的、sun sunny阳光的
2、形容词转化为副词，转化后的词同副词用法相同：
quick quickly快速地、polite politely文雅地、sad sadly伤感地、imediate immediately立刻地、recent recently近期地
3、形容词转化为动词，转化后的词同动词用法相同：
afford affordable供给、love lovable示爱、scatter scattered撒播、use used使用
4、动词转化为名词，转化后的词同名词用法相同：
achieve achievement成就、advertise advertisement广告、agree agreement同意、amuse amusement娱乐、argue argument争吵
