A Rogue’s Life is one of William Wilkie Collins’s most popular novels. It mainly tells a story about ambition and unavaible love. Frank Softly, the protagonist in this novel, falls into love with a girl named Alicia Dulcifer. However, having failed in almost all fields of work, Dulcifer’s father doesn’t support this young man. But love will endure, and where there’s life, there’s hope. Frank Softly goes to Waled for the seek of love.

William Wilkie Collins (8 January 1824 – 23 September 1895) was an English novelist, playwright, and author of short stories. His best-known works are The Woman in White, The Moonstone, Armadale, and No Name.
