The Dog And The Shadow 狗和它的影子
A DOG, crossing a bridge over a stream with a piece of flesh in his mouth, saw his own shadow in the water, and took it for that of another Dog, with a piece of meat double his own in size. He therefore let go his own, and fiercely attacked the other Dog, to get his larger piece from him. He thus lost both: that which he grasped at in the water, because it was a shadow; and his own, because the stream swept it away.
一条狗嘴里叼块肉,来到一座桥上.它看见水里有自己的影子, 以为是另一条嘴里也叼着一块比自己那块肉大一倍的狗.它忙丢下自己嘴里的那块肉,猛力地攻击水里的狗.试图去抢它的肉.结果,它两块肉都得不到. 因为那只是一个影子,它自己的影子而已.真正的肉也被水冲走了.

The Story of Snow White

It is a cold winter day. A baby! Her name is Snow White. She is very beautiful. Everybody loves her. The animals love her, too. The Queen loves her. But the Queen dies. A new Queen comes. She is beautiful, but bad.
Children: Snow White is beautiful.
Queen: No, I am beautiful.
This is a magic mirror.
Queen: Mirror, mirror, who is beautiful?
Mirror: Not you. Snow White.
Queen: No! No! No! Kill Snow White.
Snow White is taken far away.
Snow White: Help me, help me, please! Please!
Hunter: All right. Go, Snow White!
The animals take Snow White to a little house. She goes inside. There are 7 little chairs! She is very hungry.
The 7 dwarfs come home.
Dwarf 1: Who sat here?
Dwarf 2: Who ate this?
Dwarf 3: Who drank this?
Dwarfs: Snow White is sleeping! She is beautiful. Let her sleep.
It is morning.
Snow White: Hello!
Dwarfs: Why are you here? What’s your name?
She tells her story.
Dwarfs: What an evil Queen!
Dwarf 1: I’ll help you.
Dwarf 2: Me, too. Me, too.
Dwarf 3: Stay with us!
Dwarf 4: Yes. Yes.
She stays with the 7 dwarfs.
Dwarfs: This is good. Oh, what fun!
Snow White: Let’s clean up. Bring the plates. Wash them. Wipe them. Put them away.
Dwarfs: Let’s go. Snow White, be careful!
Queen: Mirror, mirror, who is beautiful?
Mirror: Not you! Snow White.
Queen: What! I’ll kill her!
Snow White waits at home.
Queen: Apples! Apples! Buy some apples. They are delicious.
She ate the bad apple.
Queen: Ha, ha, ha! Now, I am the most beautiful.
They come home again.
Dwarfs: What happened? Wake up! Wake up!
Queen: Mirror, mirror, now, who is beautiful?
Mirror: You!
Queen: Ha, ha, ha!
Dwarfs: Poor Snow White. Goodbye, Snow White.
The Prince comes.
Dwarfs: Have dinner with us. Please help Snow White.
They take him to Snow White.
Prince: She is very beautiful. I want to marry her.
Dwarfs: But you can’t. She is dead.
He prays.
The poison apple comes out.
Snow White: What happened? Hello!
Everybody is happy.
Prince: Marry me, Snow White.
Queen: Mirror, mirror, who is beautiful?
Mirror: Not you! Snow White.
Queen: No! No! The mirror breaks.
Prince and Snow White: Goodbye! Thank you!
They live happily ever after!
