1. 凡是特指，均在名词前面加the。如：
The water here is polluted.
The man under the tree is my uncle.
I don't know the students you have mentioned.
2. 泛指或类指时，不可数名词前不加冠词，单数可数名词前加a/an/the,或者用可数名词的复数形式。如：
Water is colourless and tasteless.
A /The horse is useful.
Horses are useful.
