该组的主要研究方向为有机氟化学。发展新的氟化试剂和含氟合成子，利用金属有机和不对称合成反应及方法，制备含氟生物活性分子和含氟功能材料。
目前主要研究内容如下：
1）：含三氟甲基，二氟亚甲基及单氟合成子的制备。
2）：含氟手性分子的合成。
3）：含氟维甲酸及含氟核苷的合成。
4）：含氟丙烯酸酯单体的合成及其聚合。
5）：全氟化合物的制备。
6）：氟化方法的建立。
