一、close做名词时候的用法
close做名词时，只有两个解释，一个是表达结束，末尾；一个是表达街道，死巷的含义。
1、结束，结局，末尾，结尾；
Her life is drawing to a close.
她的生命正在走向终点。
2、街道，死巷，死胡同
He lives at 87 Barker Close.
他住在巴克巷87号。
二、close做动词时候的用法
1、关，合，关闭
Will you close the door，Tony？
Tony能不能关下窗户？
2、（商店、餐馆或公共场所）不营业，打烊，不开放
The museum has been closed for one months.
博物馆已经闭馆一个月了。
3、结束，停止
The offer will close before Spring Festival.
优惠在春节前结束。
注：涉及到金融方面，close的具体意思是收盘。
4、倒闭，关闭，业务停止
The factory was forced to close the door ten years ago.
这家工厂*十年前就关闭了。
三、close做形容词时候的用法
1、近亲的；密切的；团结的
My father and his mother are close friends.
我的父亲和他的母亲是关系亲密的朋友。
2、守口如瓶的，隐秘的
He's so close about his family - it seems like he's hiding something.
他对自己的家庭信息守口如瓶——好像要隐瞒什么。
3、封闭的；密不透风的；闷热的
The room is very close without a window.
这个房间没有窗户太闷了。
4、接近的，只有细微差别的
The election results were so close they had to vote again.
选举结果非常接近，所以他们不得不重新投票。
四、close做副词时候的用法
（空间或时间上）接近地，靠近地
Don't come too close to the dog，baby.
baby，别靠那条狗太近。
五、close用作表语时的意思是“近的,接近的”,通常指空间距离极小，甚至几乎相接或者时间重合。用作定语时，用于社会关系上指直系亲属、至爱亲朋之间的紧密联系,即“亲密的,密切的”。另外, close还可指“彻底的,仔细的”“闷热的,不通风的”“势均力敌的”“秘密的,隐藏的”等。
