Do not pay attention to every word people say, or you may hear your servant cursing you-
从一*来说，人们是常常会将听到的、人所说的，当一回事。圣经说，不要将人所说的每句话 every word 都放在心上!
那么后面为什么又说 恐怕听见你的仆人咒诅你 呢？
说明我们就会听到不悦耳的言语、错误的传说、绯闻、毁谤。那么主要就是前面的那一句：Do not pay attention to every word people say。
如果你接受，也就是因他人的误会而难过（当然，如果你很看重那个人的话），便是在某种领域里承认人家所说的。而你，便是成为人家所说的这句话的俘虏！
【诗56:11】 我倚靠神，必不惧怕。人能把我怎么样呢？
in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?
【诗118:6】 有耶和华帮助我。我必不惧怕。人能把我怎么样呢？
The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?
【来13:6】 所以我们可以放胆说，主是帮助我的，我必不惧怕。人能把我怎么样呢？
So we say with confidence, 'The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?'
类似的*在圣经里出现过三次之久，可见我们如何对待言语的重要性。主也必是早已预见人言的伤害（当然，这只会在当你去为别人所说的而伤心、难过、葬心）。
如果不选择不去理睬，损失的都将会只是你自己。
那些话对于一丝清白的你是不会有任何的改变。
