1,8-Naphthalimide-type compounds are important fluorescent materials. This paper reported the preparation of 4,5-di(p-methylphenylacetylenyl)-1,8-naphthalimide. Tar-acenaphthene was used as starting material which was converted to 4,5-dibromo-1,8-naphthalimide through bromination, oxidation, condensation, and other steps. 4,5-Di(p-methylphenylacetylenyl)-1,8-naphthalimide was prepared through Sonogashira coupling using Pd(PPh3)2Cl2 as catalyst, CuI as co-catalyst, and ethanol as solvent. The prepared compounds were characterized with NMR spectroscopy. Effects of solvents, temperature, reaction time and the amount of oxidant on the course of the oxidation reaction were studied. Effects of catalyst, co-catalyst, solvent and different halogen-substituted aromatic compounds on the course of Sonogashira coupling reaction were discussed.热心网友 时间:2024-12-12 13:42
