The Palace Museum, formerly known as the Forbidden City, is the imperial palace of China's Ming and Qing dynasties and is located at the center of Beijing's central axis.
The Palace Museum in Beijing was built by Ming Emperor Zhu Di and designed by Kuai Xiang (1397-1481, styled Ting Rui, a native of Suzhou).

故宫成为世界文化遗产,使人们对故宫古建筑价值的认识有了深化。故宫所代表的是已经成为历史的文化,而且有着宫廷文化的外壳,同时它却代表了当时的主流文化。
