早在1949年11月,国际民主妇女联合会在前苏联莫斯科召开会议,参加会议的代表为了保证全世界儿童的生存权、保健权和受教育权,反对帝国主义战争贩子毒害、*儿童,提出了每年的6月1日为国际儿童节的建议。从此以后,每年的6月1日,各国儿童举行集会,庆祝自己的节日。
我国是在1949年12月23日做出决定,规定每年6月1日为儿童节。1950年的6月1日,**还亲笔为儿童节题写“庆祝儿童节”。今年已是新中国成立之后的第52个儿童节了。同学们在欢度节日的时候,要时刻牢记:今天我们是祖国的花朵,将来要做社会主义大厦的栋梁。
