这里使用动词的形容词形式，thinking是正确的，thoughtful词义是沉思的，体贴的，从句意来讲此处是“正在思考的”，所以thoughtful不对

完全可以，柯林斯高阶英汉词典上对thoughtful的释义为：
If you are thoughtful, you are quiet and serious because you are thinking about something.追问但是现在人日常生活中还会经常这样用吗？ 应该是要取决于用的语境吧....

追答呃。。。我有时候拿中国的英语题去问我的俩朋友——一个Dexas来的，一个Manchester来的——看了一会，常常耸耸肩说，"It's ok in terms of grammer, but I would say ..."
看到了吧，这就是中国的英语题！

动词的ing形式作定语,正在思考的观众.而 thoughtful 体贴人的，不服语境。
这部电影不可能吸引听众的注意力的思考。
