According to the requirements in both near-infrared (1064 nm) region and actual use of the portable spectrometer, the concrete conceptual design of the portable spectrometer has been carried on with, which has many advantages, such as no mechanical scanning, great luminous flux, steady, apt to carry, fast measurement and so on. It provides the operating principle of such portable Fourier transform spectrometer, and gives explanations and reasons for every subsystem including leading optical system, spectrometric system and signal processing system. Finally, it proves every parameter of the portable spectrometer.
