1,迎奥运英语演讲稿
China has its own sport legends. Back to Song Dynasty, People started to play a game called Cuju, which is regarded as the origin of Ancient football. So now, you will understand why our women football team is so good today.
With a concept inspired by the famed Silk Road, our Torch Relay will break new ground, traveling from Olympia through some of the oldest civilizations known to man-Greek, Indian and Chinese. Carrying the message “Share the peace, Share the Olympics. “ The flame will pass through Tibet, cross the Yangtze and Yellow Rivers, Travel the Great Wall and visit Taiwan and the 56 Ethnic communities who make up our society. On its journey, the flame will be seen by and inspire more human beings than any previous relay.
I am afraid I cannot prevent the whole picture of our cultural programs within such a short period of time. Actually, what we have shown you here today is only a fraction of Beijing that awaits you. Ladies and gentlemen, I believe that Beijing will prove to be a land of wonders to athletes, spectators and the worldwide television audience alike. Come and join us.
Thank you. Thank you all.
2.Opportunities and Challenges
First, I would like to know, what does your destiny offer you? Happiness, wisdom, a strong body or something else. If I had asked this question to president Nixon, he would probably had said,”Our destiny offers not the cup of despair, but the chalice of opportunity.”
Needless to say, one of the biggest opportunities given to China is the 2008 Olympic Games. Till now, we have used two sevenths of the preparation time. How much changes have you seen? New roads, new subway lines, public-exercising equipments with beautiful colors, large blocks of grass fields, and also lots of modern gyms which are under construction.
Other than those, there are even more good effects brought to us by the Olympic Games that cannot be seen directly. For example, more and more people will get to know China. I’m sure the mysterious Chinese culture will attract them strongly. And the games will also do good to the economy and environment, for it is gaining the attention of foreign investors and the awareness of environmental protection is being strengthened. What is more, Olympic Games give a unique opportunity to inspire and ecate a new generation of Chinese youth with the Olympic values and the Olympic spirit. Now that we have seen so many advances, could you even imagine us losing the holding rights?
I’ve already said a lot about the Olympics and China. But I think everyone should use some time to think of this question, ”Does the Olympic Games have any special meaning to you?”
For us, I mean the Chinese youth, 2008 Olympic Games is a tremendous gift. Because what we are waiting for is to do something significant as repaying the love given to us .The society is just like a ship, and in our dreams the captain is waving his hand and saying ”Hey! Come here and take the helm! ”How charming his voice is, but we have never heard of it in our true life. This morning, however, when we wake up, we will see the Olympic Games waving its hand. After chewing, most of us will have at least one plan about what to do for the Olympic Games. And mine is to be a “comforter” ----that is someone who will give comfort to others.
At the end of my speech, I hope all the preparation will go well, and everyone will show their ability to the world. Let us seize opportunities and give a big smile to challenges.

a story about myself and my violin. I began learning to play the violin when I was eight years old. At first, it was a very hard thing for me. After my continued efforts, I was able to play a lot of musical pieces very soon. I felt so proud of myself that I began to behave arrogantly. My violin teacher noticed this and told me: “To be a good violin player, you should first of all love and respect your violin. You should obey the rules of playing it so as to make harmonious melodies. Remember, play the violin not only with your hands, but also with your heart and soul. ” Ladies and gentlemen, I believe that nature is to people what my violin is to me. Isn’t it true that people deal with nature just as I play the violin? Isn’t it true that we have been so arrogant that we take liberties with nature, which brings about the discord between nature and ourselves? Since my violin and I have finally reached harmony, why can’t people and nature head toward the same direction? Ladies and gentlemen, we cannot wait. Nor can we afford to wait until the day when we find no city, no Hilton hotel, no lecture hall to hold any speech contests in. Let us love and respect nature, nature that is the violin people have played for thousands of years. Let us treasure it, and play it with our heart and soul. Let us observe its rules while developing our instry, modernizing our traffic system, and improving our living conditions, so that one day, people and nature will together proce the most beautiful and peaceful music. On that day, I am sure to be there with my violin, to join the world orchestra, in playing the ode to harmony, the eternal harmony between people and nature. Let my speech today be an overture to that grand symphony. Thank you.
6.The Dream Came True
I wanna welcome everybody here in this cheer team. Thank you for coming here this morning to stand on my side cheering me on. It’s my dream to have the opportunity to challenge all the foreign athletes to the championship at this great occasion: 2008 Olympic Games. Now, the dream came true. As an athlete of China, I’m here to win the gold medal of orienteering for our motherland.
I’m so proud of being one of the best players in the world. But could you believe I had been a lazy girl when I was in Junior High. I’m not kidding! At that time, running was my last favorite. I really don’t know how to describe the first time I was on the track. It was horrible. When I started to run, I was simply out of breath. And while I touched the finishing line, I really didn’t know if I was still alive. It’s so funny, huh? But it’s true, I did. Well, something happened and changed the situation. We won the right of holding the Olympic Games in 2008. After that, sports became a kind of game in campus. And there are many sports clubs in school. One day someone asked me:“are you gonna try one of those?”First I felt so wired. “Try to get into sports clubs? Are you kidding?” I said. And she goes: “Why not?? It’s not hard at all, and so fascinating!” So I did tried one and I was so lucky to become one of those who did orienteering. That is a fantastic sport! You need to run and find where to go just by using a map and a compass. It’s wasn’t popular in China at first. But when we heard it might become a new event in 2008, we did practiced hard, and aimed to win the first Champion of orienteering in the world. When we practiced, there were a lot of troubles. You know, sometimes you need to go with your feet, but sometimes you need to go with your heart. In some situations, we faced the difficulties and problems. And we need to solve that through teamwork and strong willpower. So we can run faster, go higher and be stronger. That is what we say—Olympic spirit. Now the dream came true. I’m standing here with all my body and my heart put in sports. So do the people from all over the world to HERE at the Olympic Games. It’s the Olympic Games that make us together. We are here for a big day of sport; we are here for a dream of sports. We are here for a spirit of sport that encourages us to face the difficulties of today and tomorrow

My Dream
When I was a child, I wanted to be a teacher. My father was a teacher, and he taught me a lot. I worshiped him very much.
On my tenth birthday, he asked me,“What do you want to be when you grow up?”I answered proudly,“I want to be a teacher like you!”On hearing this, my father was very happy and said to me, “Work hard and your dream will come true.”
Not long ago, one of my primary school teachers was ill. She wanted me to take her place for two weeks. I was glad but nervous. My father said to me,“This is a good chance. Seize it! I wish you success!”
When I came into the classroom, the children were very happy. I introced myself to them. Soon, I got on well with them. They all liked me and I loved them. With my father and headmaster's help, I did the work very well.
Now, I often miss those lovely children. That experience had made me even more interested in being a teacher in the future.
