母亲节前一天，朱老师布置了一个特殊的作业。朱老师她她清清嗓子，神秘地说：“今天要给大家布置一项作业，听好啦！回家后给你们的妈妈洗一次脚，。”我一听愣了：给妈妈洗脚？这可是我从没有想过的字眼。在我的记忆里只有妈妈端着盆子为我洗脚，而今天却要我为妈妈洗脚，心里总有说不出的别扭，一向做作业利索的我这下犯难了，这成了我心头的巨大石头。
我心事重重地回到家。看着妈妈在工厂里忙碌的身影，我根本没有机会说出这句话，此时我才真正感觉到了这项作业的难度和特殊性。晚饭，我心不在焉地吃着，一眼都没看妈妈，可我还是鼓起勇气和妈妈说：“妈妈，老师说假期让我们帮妈妈洗脚，不做不行的！”我带着坚定的眼神看着妈妈，她勉强答应了。
上楼后，我先打来一盆温水，试了试水温，小心翼翼地脱去妈妈的袜子，用毛巾擦着她的腿，一遍又一遍，我轻轻的*着妈妈的脚，脚掌底下已经长了一层厚茧，这腿上几乎全是被铁皮划伤的痕迹，我低下头，慢慢进入深思中……
此时此刻，我明白了朱老师布置这项作业的用意了，就是为了让我们明白妈妈的辛苦，我们要理解包容她，不要让她这么辛苦。
